The Boulder County Abstract of Title Company was incorporated on 5 December 1887 by James P. Maxwell, Andrew J. Macky, George S. Oliver and Edwin J. Temple. Once located at 2015 13th St., Boulder, CO., the company celebrated its 100th anniversary in the 1960s. Its title abstract records were begun by Alfred E. Lea, who as County Clerk and Recorder followed his predecessor Thomas Danford's practice of supplying abstracts of title in connection with real estate transactions. ...
